AppleCare Business Insights, Operations & Systems (ACBIOS) is seeking a highly technical Engineering Program Manager to lead the development of sophisticated innovative AI-driven natural language data analytics capabilities for AppleCare in partnership with other Apple teams. This role will lead complex, multi-functional projects that integrate AI, data science, knowledge graph and analytics tools to enable business users and data scientists to derive deep insights at scale from our enterprise data through natural language interactions. The role will work closely with Apple IS&T AI data platforms teams and AppleCare business teams by driving execution while ensuring close collaboration, and encouraging relationships to facilitate seamless communication across multiple multi-functional teams to accelerate program development. Description

Drive program execution for our ACBIOS AI Natural Language Data Analytics Program, coordinating efforts between IS&T AI platforms and AppleCare business teams. Handle project timelines, achievements, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Support the development and integration of Python and SQL AI Natural Language Analytics capabilities, focusing on their role in leading the analytics infrastructure and supporting AI model deployment, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements. Facilitate collaboration among business users, data scientists, and engineers, ensuring AI/ML models are effectively coordinated and visible to collaborators. Lead dependencies across multiple teams, ensuring seamless integration that enhances AI conversational data analytics. Identify risks, remove blockers, and proactively drive solutions to meet program goals. Communicate project status, challenges, and key decisions to leadership and stakeholders. Ensure technical teams have the necessary resources and alignment to execute efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent presentation-making and presentation skills.
  • Agile methodology project management skills.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Program Manager or Technical Program Manager, managing AI/ML, data science, or analytics projects.
  • Strong SQL developer experience.
  • Strong Python developer experience.
  • Experience in data science or data analytics roles.
  • Drive complex multi-functional programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage technical discussions across engineering, data science, and product teams.
  • Superb communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical challenges into business insights.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working on data cataloging and lineage tracking, with a strong emphasis on knowledge graph generation.
  • Familiarity with graph database development, with experience in TigerGraph being a plus.
  • Familiarity with LLM prompting techniques, including few-shot prompting, chain-of-thought reasoning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning practices.
  • Familiarity with working on open-source projects and engaging with external developer communities.
