One of the key priorities within our Accommodations Business Unit, is to grow our market share in the US and as such, we are looking for a Group Product Manager to support our US dedicated Product teams and initiatives. Reporting to the VP & Managing Director Americas and based in our Amsterdam HQ, the GPM will work directly and indirectly with a growing track of ~30+ individuals across Product, Tech, Data, UX & ML crafts.
As the Group Product Manager for US Product at Booking.com, you will define product strategy and roadmap, lead team(s) across multiple closely coupled initiatives and individually contribute to execute key projects. You will translate business needs into product and operational roadmaps that incorporate appropriate qualitative and quantitative research and stakeholder input.
B.Responsible
- Develop and own the long-term product vision and inspire your teams and Product Managers to achieve the vision by sharing your message effectively.
- Support Product Managers in translating customer insights, company direction, industry developments into teamsβ long- and short term priorities.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand user needs with data, identify gaps in our offerings and develop product requirements.
- Because your opinion is data-driven, you will define key business and success metrics, track them, and improve upon them.
- Achieve buy-in of the plan and key milestones from business stakeholders and effectively communicate progress and developments.
- Manage and support the professional development of each direct report through personal and performance management and coaching.
- Together with (Senior) Engineering Manager and craft leaders (Design, Data Science, Research), you have a good overview of team health, impact and ROI
B.Skilled
- You have 6+ years of product management experience or other relevant experience, preferably in a high traffic e-commerce environment. ββBonus points for experience working on/in the US market.
- You have 2-3+ years of experience leading product teams (vision and metrics/objectives setting, ideation and implementation process, team alignment with business goals) and managing and coaching teams of product managers.
- Experienced in building and articulating a clear and compelling product vision.
- Demonstrated ability to solve customer problems, coupled with super strong analytical skills and commercial and business sense.
- Experience working with multiple (senior) stakeholders (finance, team management, recruitment, external customers). Capability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
- You are experienced with experimentation using, for example, A/B-testing focused on improving conversion and retention.
- Knowledge of relevant industry trends shaping the online travel market, specifically in the US.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.
