As an IT Product Owner II, you'll serve as the primary liaison between the development team and stakeholders, representing the voice of the customer and driving the success of our tech products, platforms, or services. Working closely with the product manager and cross-functional teams, you'll prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to translate requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. You'll participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups, guiding the team in delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions on time and within budget. With a focus on continuous improvement, you'll gather feedback, measure product performance, and iterate on features to enhance the user experience and drive business outcomes. As a key player in the product development lifecycle, you'll be critical in delivering value to our customers and achieving success in the competitive tech landscape. With guidance and mentorship from seasoned professionals, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in product management, agile methodology, and stakeholder communication.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
β€’ Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and engineering teams, to gather and prioritize product requirements. All requirements must include a current and future state process map to be shared and signed off with your sponsor.
β€’ Product Planning: Assist in creating and maintaining the product roadmap, defining features, and release timelines based on business objectives and user needs.
β€’ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and execution of product initiatives.
β€’ Feature Prioritization: Understand how to prioritize features and enhancements based on their impact on user experience, business value, and technical feasibility.
β€’ Project Coordination: Coordinate project activities, tasks, and timelines, ensuring that milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
β€’ Documentation: Create and maintain product documentation, including user stories, feature specifications, and release notes, to communicate requirements and updates to stakeholders.
β€’ Testing and Validation: Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of product features to ensure they meet quality standards and user expectations.
β€’ Performance Monitoring: Understanding and assisting in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product performance and success.
β€’ Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, gathering feedback from users and stakeholders to iterate on product features and enhance the overall user experience.
β€’ Learning and Development: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product management, seeking out learning opportunities to grow and develop in the role.
β€’ Customer Support: Provide support to customer-facing teams, including responding to customer inquiries, addressing product-related issues, and assisting with customer training and onboarding.
β€’ Team Collaboration: Collaborate with product management peers and other team members, sharing knowledge, insights, and best practices to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
β€’ Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice.


Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.
Preferred Certification(s): Any relevant IT Certification.
Experience: 1+ years relevant or practical experience.

β€’ Methodology: Developing knowledge in Agile Product & Waterfall methodology.
β€’ Communication: Effective communication, able to present to management.
β€’ Decision-Making: Value-based decision-making.
β€’ Learning: Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies and adapt to change.
