The IT Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating a portfolio of IT projects to achieve strategic business objectives. This role involves managing multiple project managers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and delivering value through effective program management. The IT Program Manager will utilize PMI's Program Management framework to ensure successful program execution and benefits realization of its Data Analytics Program.
Responsibilities Include:
Program Management
● Establish and maintain program governance structures to ensure effective decision-making and accountability. Develop and manage program charters, plans, and schedules.
● Identify and engage key stakeholders to ensure alignment with program objectives. Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders, project teams, and executive leadership.
● Define and track program benefits to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
● Allocate and manage resources across multiple projects to ensure optimal utilization.
● Ensure that program deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations. Implement quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
● Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost control and financial performance. Monitor and report on program financials, including variances and forecasts. Ensure that program expenditures align with approved budgets and financial plans
● Provide regular program status updates to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Project Management
▪ Lead the successful implementation of IT projects by leading the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
▪ Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery in accordance with approved Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC)
Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
● PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certifications
● Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in program management.
● Proven track record of managing large-scale IT programs with multiple projects.
● CSPO or Equivalent is highly desirable
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
● Experience in implementing large scale data platforms or similar technology projects (AI, Snowflake, PowerBI, etc)
● Excellent leadership and team management skills.
● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
● Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
● Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, and systems integration.
● Extensive experience using project management tools and methodologies (e.g. Clarity, Planview, JIRA, MS Project, PMBOK, Waterfall, Kanban, Agile, Scrum)
● Familiarity with product management and release management is highly desirable.

Rate Range: 90-95/HR
