As a Product Manager Trainee at StrongMind, you will focus on assisting with product management tasks while building foundational skills in project management and organization. Under significant support and close supervision, you will concentrate on understanding basic problem-solving techniques and identifying customer problems and needs. You will contribute to various departments, including UX, product marketing, product development, and curriculum development. Primary Duties and Responsibilities 



  •  Assist with specific product tasks under close supervision, helping to organize and track tasks and milestones. 



  • Participate in development team ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, standups), actively contributing and learning. 



  • Assist in backlog management and iteration planning, learning to write user stories and acceptance criteria with guidance. 



  • Support prioritization of tasks, identifying potential risks with guidance and learning to help remove blockers. 



  • Provide basic updates on Epic progress with support, learning clear and concise communication with the team and stakeholders. 



  • Gain a basic understanding of the product, user needs, and relevant industry trends, observing and learning how to represent the customer for the development teams. 



  • Assist in collecting user feedback and gathering basic industry information, learning to identify and understand customer requests. 


Specific Job Skills/Abilities 



  • Learn to collect customer feedback and surface-level requirements, documenting customer issues and needs accurately. 



  • Begin to articulate problems verbally and in writing with guidance, asking basic follow-up questions to clarify customer requests and initial problem statements. 



  • Participate in discussions with senior Product Managers to gain deeper understanding of the customer context and scope of epics. 



  • Observe senior Product Managers conducting problem definition sessions, learning about different techniques for understanding user needs and behaviors. 



  • Assist in gathering initial data for problem analysis, beginning to understand basic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and their relevance to product management. 



  • Excellent writing and communication skills to convey product knowledge to different stakeholders. 



  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals across different departments, advocating for the importance of research and data-driven decision-making. 



  • Gain experience in both quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques, providing support to teams working in an agile development environment. 



  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for self-driven, continuous learning.

 Education/Training 



  • Passion for education is a must; experience in Ed-Tech is beneficial but not required 



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 



  • Experience in managing project planning or equivalent experience
