As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for the functions outlined below:
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
- Lead Product development from concept to commercialization in alignment with the overall mission of Daniel Defense.
- Lead the cross-functional Integrated Product Development Team following the DD stage gate process, ensuring that all stakeholders are on board and the project remains on track.
- Utilize the following metrics:
- Revenue growth
- Customer satisfaction
- Time to market
- Departmental efficiency
- Product quality
- COPQ
- Cost reduction
- . Lead the cross-functional team in pioneering the ideation, design, development, and delivery of new products and in generating a significant new revenue stream.
- Execute the product roadmap and exceed customer satisfaction in terms of the product’s cost, quality, performance, and delivery using the requirements that the Daniel Defense NPD system specifies.
- Drive innovative and organic category growth through the implementation of the Integrated Product Handgun Team.
- Utilize the Daniel Defense NPD system.
- Develop product design strategies that meet customer needs and exceed company goals.
- Translate customer needs into product requirements and specifications.
- Ensure key stakeholder/functional alignment.
- Maximize and grow talent.
- Train, mentor, and grow team members.
- Provide growth and development opportunities.
- Cultivate a positive work environment and culture.
- Execute Design for Manufacturing methodology for customer-centric firearms.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies.
- Demonstrate budget management.
- Manage and coordinate the design, development, and enhancement of new and existing products/product lines.
- Ensure the team meets project milestones and completes projects within the established timeline.
- Leverage technologies from other industries to reduce developmental resources and the time to market—adopting the “snap on and go” mentality.
- Enhance innovation.
- Cast a wide net of ideas.
- Create a workplace culture that fosters innovation.
- Maximize external sources of innovation.
- Leverage academia, other industries/companies, and external expertise.
- Research and utilize upcoming enabling technologies.

- Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment
- Provides adequate support, training and development to team members to continuously improve Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
- Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related technical field or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- The ability to lead in a manner that inspires others
- Thorough understanding of the Daniel Defense NPD system
- Strong knowledge of the product category
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making
- Possessing an understanding of Six Sigma/DMADV techniques is a plus.
- Adept at team building and serving as a leader
- Demonstrated ability to work in accordance with our Permission to Play Values.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
