Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a strong background in aviation to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development and success of our AI-driven aviation products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure that our products meet the needs of our customers and advance our mission to enhance flight safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Strategy: Develop and execute a product strategy that aligns with our overall business goals and addresses the needs of the aviation industry.

• Market Research: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.

• Product Roadmap: Define and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring that it is aligned with strategic objectives and customer requirements.

• Feature Development: Collaborate with engineering and design teams to define product features and specifications, and oversee the development process from concept to launch.

• Customer Engagement: Engage with customers, pilots, and industry stakeholders to gather feedback, understand pain points, and validate product concepts.

• Go-to-Market: Work with the leadership team to develop go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and launch plans.

• Performance Tracking: Monitor product performance and user feedback, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.

What Will Make You Successful

• Aviation Experience: Strong background in aviation, with a deep understanding of the industry's unique challenges and opportunities.

• Product Management Expertise: At least 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the aviation or technology sectors.

• Technical Proficiency: Ability to work closely with engineering teams and understand technical concepts, particularly in AI and data analytics.

• Customer Focus: Proven track record of building products that meet customer needs and deliver exceptional user experiences.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data to drive product decisions.

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

Bonus Points

• AI and Data Analytics: Experience with AI technologies and data analytics, particularly in the context of aviation.

• Pilot Experience: Active or former pilot license, or significant experience working with pilots and flight operations.

• Startup Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and wear multiple hats.

This is a hybrid role and requires working from our San Carlos, CA office at least three days a week, with the option to work remotely the remaining days.
