As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for establishing the strategic and financial plan for their product in the context of Fluence’s overall strategy and financial targets.  You will guide new product introduction and launch and articulate how your product contributes to Fluence’s business objectives across all regions.  As part of the introduction of the new product, you will be accountable to develop clear product requirements to be executed by cross functional teams (engineering, procurement, supply chain etc.) and ensure that the business case reflects these requirements/assumptions. 

Typical day-to-day product management activities include:

    • Develop/update business case in response to supplier or internal information
    • Liaison with Sales across multiple regions to ensure strategic alignment and requirements validation
    • Coordinate with engineering to ensure new product introduction/launch requirements fulfilled
    • Interface with suppliers and Procurement to ensure sufficient volume is available post product launch to meet or exceed business case
    • Communicate / update the business strategy for individual products throughout the product lifecycle as assigned
    • Conduct sales training throughout the launch and remainder of product lifecycle

What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in STEM fields
    • 5+ years in product management (high growth industries strongly preferred) or 10+ years in engineering  (batteries, BMS systems, or power generation strongly preferred) or supply chain/procurement
    • Working knowledge of Confluence, Jira, NetSuite, MS project Salesforce or similar tool sets

Desired Experience:

    • Cyber-physical products or energy storage.
    • Functional leadership in matrixed environments.
