Description:

The Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for products and/or product lines. They are the champion of a product and lead cross-functional teams from a product's conception through to its launch. Strong thought leadership is a required, coupled with strong communication skills.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • To manage from concept, to design, prototypes, testing, forecast, cost, day to day support, and finally product end of life.
  • Expert in leading post launch commercialization plans, working closely with sales to ensure the successful adoption of new products.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements
  • Leads the marketing development effort to bring new products from conceptual stages through product life cycles
  • Collaborate with multiple internal groups such as sales, engineering, marketing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Conduct margin analysis, industry/market research, and in-life performance measurement to determine product demand, positioning, viability, and profitability
  • Builds and maintains long-term relationships with key strategic customers
  • Manages day-to-day progress of product development for product lines
  • Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development.
  • Full P&L responsibility for their Product Lines
  • 40-50% travel

Requirements

  • BS Degree required
  • 10 years’ experience in decorative laminate surfaces, cabinets, etc. 
  • Positive, team player attitude
  • Strong teaming skills
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and the ability to read a room and get things done.
