Description


The Product Manager takes the lead role in defining, documenting, and launching DATASCAN’s mobile solutions, and is responsible for planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle.  This position collaborates across the company and is at the forefront of identifying and defining the next generation of DATASCAN solutions in support of its strategic goals.


The Product Manager defines the functionality, interfaces, aesthetics, and features of new products – all the way from the high-level user experience down to the smallest details.  These capabilities will be aligned to customer requirements and quantifiable value that we can deliver to the market.


The position works closely with UI/UX, software engineering, sales, marketing, customer success managers, and project management teams to coordinate and communicate priorities and to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.


 


Duties & Responsibilities


Strategy and Planning



  • Define product strategy and roadmaps and validate with key customers and DATASCAN stakeholders

  • Understand the competitive landscape and assist in positioning DATASCAN products in the market

  • Develop financial plans and business cases in support of specific product strategy recommendations

  • Be the company’s product evangelist both internally and with key customers


Operational Management



  • Product Planning & Management

    • Define product specifications

    • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences

    • Conduct usability testing with prototypes to gather user feedback

    • Prepare MRD and PRD documents including use cases

    • Shepherd products through development to ensure proper implementation of world-class products

    • Manage and communicate with cross functional teams



  • Product Marketing

    • Plan product launch

    • Support sales, marketing, and technical support center with necessary product knowledge and technical expertise

    • Conduct product presentations

    • Develop pricing strategies and product policies

    • Develop sales tools and training materials, including input for marketing collateral development



  • Customer & End User Support

    • Manage product related support, feedback, and inquiries

    • Coordinate market feedback and input to drive product refinement and development





Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the product development life cycle

  • Ability to act as a leader and collaborate with multiple teams

  • Be a problem solver with a passion for critical thinking, strong analytical and design skills

  • Ability to see the big picture as well as pay attention to the details

  • Strong judgement and decision-making skills

  • Strong organizational and management skills

  • Ability to formulate, condense, and communicate complex business and technical problems to technical and non-technical teams

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment


Education & Experience


Education



  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject


Experience



  • 2+ years experience as a product manager

  • Experience with mobile apps

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies

  • Experience with SaaS products and data analytics is a plus

  • Experience conducting market research and gathering customer feedback


Work Hours


Work outside normal business hours is required from time to time.


Travel


Overnight travel is required on occasion.


Physical Requirements


Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some movement from area to area, transporting of items such as laptop computer, paper, books, and office materials. The work requires long stretches of time viewing a computer screen and performing keyboarding tasks.


While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a general office environment.
