ECHO is hiring a Product Manager for our Lake Zurich facility!  This role is essential to successfully developing and launching our new products, as well as managing our existing products for assigned product lines.  Specifically, this role develops and implements product strategies to accelerate the growth of ECHO products.  


This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Duties/Responsibilities: 



  • Serve as the company expert for the assigned product lines, providing both direction and support to Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Service teams for both new and continuing products.

  • Lead in-field market observations to determine customer needs, product requirements, understand market trends, identify potential product opportunities, distribution issues and report competitive information.

  • Identify and evaluate new product development and product improvement opportunities from regular end user interaction and provide direction through NPD Portfolio process regarding which opportunities to prioritize and pursue.

  • Through Program Manager direct report and Program Coordinator indirect report, lead cross-functional teams to initiate projects, and schedule & monitor team meetings to keep projects on track, on schedule and within budget. 

  • Work with Sales and Marketing teams, as well as Pricing Analyst to develop pricing strategies, promotional and program ideas, sales volume forecasting, market share development, marketing collateral materials and launch activities, including sales performance and launch metrics.

  • Create and present annual Category Review presentation for assigned categories, summarizing market performance, competitive review, ECHO performance in the category, and key opportunities to pursue in new product development and/or cost reduction initiatives.


Job Experience/Skills: 



  • At least 5 years of experience in product management for a physical product line or similar role, with a preference for experience in durable goods.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial and pricing data.

  • Proven leadership skills in both cross-functional teams and direct team management.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.


Education:  Bachelor’s degree in business.  MBA is a plus.


Travel: This role requires up to 25% travel required within the continental U.S. and Canada
