Vision & Strategy:
Β· Execute the product vision and strategy in alignment with The Baldwin Groupβs mission and Long-Term Plan (LTP).
Β· Implement Data-Driven Decision Making to inform product decisions, track performance metrics, and optimize product offerings.
Β· Understand the market, competition, and customer needs to create a product that delivers real value.
Β· Directly interface with end-users (colleagues and clients) to gather insights and feedback that inform the roadmap. Coach junior product managers and BAs to deeply understand end-user pain points and needs.
Β· Collaborate with Product Owners and tech teams to balance feature development with adoption goals.
Discovery & Experimentation:
Β· Validate new ideas through experimentation, A/B testing, and user feedback.
Β· Optimize User Experience by incorporating feedback into product iterations to ensure products are intuitive, secure, and user-friendly.
Β· Gather qualitative insights through surveys, interviews, and usability testing, alongside quantitative data from experiments.
Β· Use tools to track user interactions, measure performance metrics, and analyze the results.
Β· Conduct pilot programs to roll out features to small groups of users prior to full launch to gain insights.
Β· Use insights gained from experiments or interviews to inform future decisions and product iterations.
Roadmap & Prioritization:
Β· Develop and maintain the product roadmap, regularly prioritizing features and enhancements based on business goals and customer feedback.
Β· Ensure the roadmap is adaptable, focusing on delivering business outcomes and responding to customer needs.
Β· Foster Innovation and Adaptation, driving a culture of continuous improvement within the product team to stay ahead of market changes and technological advancements.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Β· Lead Technical Collaboration between engineering, design, marketing, sales, and executive teams to drive product success from concept to launch.
Β· Work closely with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility during the product discovery and delivery process.
Β· Foster an environment of open communication to align team efforts with business and customer priorities.
Communication:
Β· Serve as the main point of contact for all stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and changes to the product strategy.
Β· Manage expectations and keep everyone informed about the productβs vision and status.
Β· Clearly define product or feature needs in Jira cards to ensure optimal results.
Metrics & Outcomes:
Β· Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, closely tied to the overall performance metrics of the business.
Β· Use customer feedback and analytics to iterate and improve the product, ensuring it meets business goals and user needs.
Requirements:
Β· 5-10 years of proven experience in digital product management in the B2B space.
Β· Insatiably curious, always asking βwhyβ and peeling back the onion layers to get to the real answers.
Β· Strong bias for action and a proven ability to drive progress.
Β· Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development processes.
Β· Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate a product vision and strategy.
Β· Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and marketing teams.
Β· Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, negotiate, and deliver feedback.
Β· Ability to analyze data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform product decisions.
Β· Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Β· Familiarity with benefits insurance technology or other financial regulatory environments.
Β· Experience working with both custom-built digital products and Salesforce.
Β· Experience with project management tools like Jira.
Β· Data-driven decision-making skills, with proficiency in analytics tools (Hotjar, Google Analytics, Segment, etc.).
