Senior Product Manager
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a strong foundation in program management and a proven track record in the development and lifecycle management of hardware products, particularly peripherals such as keyboards and mice. In this role, you will lead cross-functional initiatives, drive product success from inception to retirement, and bring expertise in peripherals to ensure market-leading solutions. * This is a 6 month contract-to-hire position.Β 

What you will be doing:
  1. Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Serve as a central liaison for cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across product development, engineering, operations, finance, marketing, and sales.
    • Drive alignment of program goals, timelines, and priorities to ensure successful product delivery and sustained market performance.
  2. Program Management Excellence:
    • Establish clear milestones, manage resources effectively, and oversee risk mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
    • Apply program management best practices to streamline workflows and foster continuous improvement across teams.
  3. Product Lifecycle Management:
    • Own the lifecycle of hardware products, with a focus on peripherals (keyboards, mice, etc.), from conceptualization to end-of-life.
    • Create and maintain product roadmaps that align with strategic goals, customer needs, and market trends.
    • Prioritize feature development and iterative improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and competitiveness.
  4. Development Expertise:
    • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to define market requirements (MRDs) and specifications (PRDs) for peripherals (keyboards/mice)
    • Leverage insights into user workflows and ergonomic trends to inform product design and feature prioritization.
    • Monitor advancements in peripherals technology and proactively incorporate relevant innovations into product planning.
  5. Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and execute launch plans for hardware products
    • Partner with marketing and sales teams to position products effectively, create compelling messaging, and ensure successful adoption.
    • Gather post-launch feedback to refine positioning and guide iterative development cycles.
  6. Performance Optimization and Analytics:
    • Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate program and product performance.
    • Analyze data and market feedback to inform continuous improvements in hardware design, usability, and user satisfaction.
    • Advocate for evidence-based decision-making across the product development lifecycle.

    • Maintain a deep understanding of user behavior and pain points related to our product categories.
    • Incorporate feedback from customers and stakeholders to develop innovative, high-performance hardware solutions.
    • Ensure alignment with emerging trends in peripherals and user interface technologies.

Who you are:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Design, Marketing, or related fields.
    • 5+ years of experience in product or program management, with a focus on hardware development and lifecycle management.
    • Proven experience in the development and launch of peripherals (e.g., keyboards, mice, etc.) is highly preferred.
    • Strong program management skills, including planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
    • In-depth understanding of product development processes, packaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies for peripherals and hardware.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.
    • Analytical thinker who can interpret data and use insights to drive product and program decisions.
    • Passion for innovation, technology, and creating market-leading peripherals that enhance user productivity and experience.

Compensation:Β 
The salary range for this position is $85-120K annually (prorated for 6 month contract), based on your knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per relevant state and local pay transparency laws.Β
