Description

We are looking for a Program Manager who will be working across a multi-functional team that understands our business and its objectives, to lead us through planning and designing technical solutions to solve the business’s problems in a very agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. The position relies heavily on influence rather than authority to drive projects.

You will define project scope, plan and direct schedules while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.

You will monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule. You will collaborate closely with our partners to understand their needs. You should possess exceptional problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and notable experience collaborating in hybrid teams. You are a self-starter technical leader with a shown ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience as hands-on technical project / program manager
  • Advanced knowledge of the full life cycle of product development and experience launching and operating customer-facing cloud services
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels including the executive level
  • Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business need with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Strong experience of software development process models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices
  • Strong skills to evaluate product performance metrics, as well as diagnose and resolve issues
  • Experience with technical design discussions and ability to summarize complex trade-offs and options in presentation and technical documentation
  • Ability to effectively represent engineering perspectives to partner organizations, product teams, and executive leadership
  • Ability to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
