Description

As a Product Manager in the Product Development team, you will innovate, define and execute Compute’s product strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Product management experience 6+ years with a leading cloud solution provider

  • Deeply technical with an understanding of cloud infrastructure—able to define new features and functionality and synthesize them into what customers want/need 

  • Hands-on technical product manager —fungible enough to be deployed on any problem anywhere in OCI

  • Customer-centric, customer-facing, and problem-solving experience in a fast paced environment

  • Can excel and deliver results under pressure

  • Experience in the AI/ML space

Responsibilities


  • Technical depth and breadth required to collaborate with key stakeholders, including customers, industry experts, and internal teams, to understand customer needs, capture requirements, deliver key features/products, and set strategic direction for a product portfolio

  • Be the conduit between product teams, engineering and the customer

  • Identify specific problems, cloud adoption drivers, and value propositions     

  • Drive solutions and requirements into roadmaps and new features and functionality to increase customer demand.

  • Manage strategic engagement with the field to help grow our business, take market share, and retain existing customers

  • Design product plans that span many products- this planning considers high availability, scalability, market leading features, and flexibility to meet future business demands

  • Define the quality bar for the product and service and work with the appropriate teams to achieve those goals.

  • Identify and mitigate risks across our full set of systems, particularly at the intersection of business and engineering

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices, driving innovation within the organization

  • Develop an effective product strategy, and an effective commercial strategy monetizing both hardware sales and software revenue

  • Understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, shaping the product roadmap and strategy accordingly

  • Improve the team in some subset of: product management practices, vision, creativity, ownership, hiring, mentoring, team culture

  • Act as a thought leader and spokesperson for Compute Products, representing the company at industry conferences, events, and customer engagements

  • Work with Product leadership to develop a robust GTM Strategy

  • Build relationships with clients and drive executive engagements

  • Define new KPIs to inform decision making and prioritization

  • Provide regular updates and interact with executive management to influence the portfolio

US: Hiring Range: from $114,500 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
