Position Summary:



Harness is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive critical capabilities in our CI/CD solution , enhancing our position as the leading Software Delivery Platform for millions of developers.


In this role, you will own technical, end-to-end product initiatives—from identifying user needs and defining requirements to overseeing development and ensuring successful delivery. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to guide product development, ensuring technical feasibility and high-quality execution while collaborating across departments to foster innovation and efficiently solve complex software delivery challenges.


This is a high-impact, individual contributor role, with a strong focus on technical execution. You will partner directly with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that address real-world challenges in software delivery, driving tangible improvements in the development process



About the role:




  • Write and manage detailed technical product requirements and specifications that can be directly utilized by engineering teams to implement features efficiently.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure technical feasibility and the timely delivery of high-quality features.

  • Engage with customers, developers, and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, address pain points, and drive continuous product improvement.

  • Use data and insights to drive both strategic product decisions and day-to-day execution, balancing short-term needs with long-term innovation.

  • Contribute to product roadmap development by identifying and prioritizing new features and improvements based on customer feedback, technical considerations, and business goals.

  • Work alongside Developer Relations and Marketing to create content that drives adoption and educates users on new features and capabilities.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Developer Relations, Marketing, and other teams to create both internal enablement resources and external content that drive adoption and educate users on new features and capabilities.



About you:




  • You are a developer at heart, passionate about improving the software delivery process. 

  • You are a highly technical product manager, able to understand and dive deep into the code, architecture, and engineering decisions, working closely with developers to ensure high-quality implementation.

  • You are adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, technical environment.

  • You are customer-obsessed, with a focus on understanding real-world developer challenges and translating them into product features.

  • BSc in Computer Science or a related field is required.

  • 3+ years of experience in Engineering / Software Development.

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, particularly within SaaS or Cloud environments.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of modern CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes.

  • You have hands-on experience with DevOps and developer tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Kubernetes, and Docker, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native technologies.

  • You have experience and understanding of mobile tools and mobile devops.

  • You have experience building solutions leveraging AI/ML.

  • You have a proven track record of managing technical products and delivering solutions that enhance developer productivity.

  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset for product decision-making.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.




Work Location:



  • Onsite weekly in our Mountain View, CA office.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $185000 - $220,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  The compensation package for this position may also include equity, and benefits.
