Overview






We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Product Manager to join our product team focusing on manufacturing systems. We are seeking an experienced quality engineer who is passionate about building something exciting and new and wants to help make quiet, emissions-free flight an everyday reality. As a senior product manager focused on manufacturing you will work closely with product, design, software engineers and a variety of manufacturing stakeholders and systems. You will be responsible for building out scaled aviation manufacturing on a level never before seen in aviation.









Responsibilities






  • As a Senior Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to own multiple features across ERP, MES, Quality and shop floor systems
  • This role is critical in delivering core features to ensure a successful build out of the Joby vehicle for market entry
  • Help shape direction, define product strategy and establish the best practices to address our users’ needs
  • Gather requirements, determine features, write product specs, refine feedback, help write test plans, manage the backlog, and ship quickly
  • Operate cross-functionally and build strong partnerships internally and externally








Required






  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Over 4 years of Product Management experience with manufacturing or internal company software
  • Tactical skills, a proven track record of shipping and supporting simple, elegant products at scale
  • Experience defining programs, processes, and using data and metrics to determine product improvements
  • Faced problems with high ambiguity and without a definitive answer








Desired






  • Experience working in car manufacturing business systems
  • Have experience with project management
  • Experience with ticket tracking systems and preferably experience with Linear.
  • Have experience working closely with manufacturing teams
  • Experience with cloud & on-premise environments as well as application deployment and scaling technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, docker, Firebase
  • Are a pilot or have an interest in aviation and/or new transportation technology

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $133,800 - $178,300 per year salary. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
