Position Overview
At Dickson, Product Management is structured around three core business lines: SaaS/Software, Calibration/Recalibration/Sensors, and Data Loggers. This Senior Product Manager role is focused on the SaaS/Software business line, which is a multi-million dollar segment of our overall business, including key platforms like DicksonOne (SaaS), OCEAView (SaaS and On-Premise), and other supporting tools such as calibration and mapping systems.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will own and drive the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of our SaaS and software products, ensuring that they meet market needs and align with the company's strategic goals. You will report directly to the VP of Product Development and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including our Innovation Center and Engineering Team in Montpellier, France

This role is based in Addison, IL, with a hybrid work model that allows a mix of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility. The position requires up to 25% travel for customer meetings, product demonstrations, and collaboration with teams across our global offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership: Take full ownership of all software and SaaS products, including DicksonOne and OCEAView, ensuring they meet market and customer needs, and align with the companyβs strategic goals.
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a clear product vision and strategy for the SaaS/Software business line, translating that into a detailed and actionable roadmap. Drive decisions based on customer insights, market research, and business objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, including frequent interaction with the Innovation Center in Montpellier, to ensure smooth product launches, continuous improvements, and alignment with business goals.
- Market/Competitive Analysis & Customer Insights: Understand industry trends, customer pain points, competitor innovations, and regulatory requirements to shape the product direction. Engage with customers and industry experts to gather insights and validate new features or product concepts.
- Regulatory & Compliance Expertise: Ensure all SaaS/Software products are developed and maintained in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and relevant regulatory standards within environmental monitoring and other industries.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the go-to-market strategy for new product launches and enhancements, working closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure a successful market introduction.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of SaaS and software products from ideation to end-of-life, ensuring continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide junior product managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a culture of innovation, efficiency, and customer focus.
- KPIs & Metrics: Define, track, and report key performance metrics to ensure the success and continuous improvement of the SaaS/Software products.
- Budget & P&L Responsibility: Manage product budgets and regional pricing to drive the winning and leading growth/profitability or our SaaS/Software platforms
Requirements
- 10-15 years' experience in software organizations with 5-10 years direct experience in product management. Project Management experience, or PMP certification a plus.
- Experience in GMP-regulated industries and environmental monitoring sectors is a must.
- Proven success in managing software products across their entire lifecycle, from concept through to launch and beyond.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and cloud-based platforms.
- Expertise in working with regulatory and compliance standards specific to the environmental monitoring industry.
- Demonstrated ability to create and communicate product strategies, roadmaps, and priorities.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies for product development.
- Ability to travel up to 25% for customer engagements and collaboration with international teams.
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process.
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
