Job Description:

As the Senior Technical Product Manager, Software, you will play a critical role in shaping the integration of Moen’s whole home water ecosystem within our Connected Products Group. This engaging and challenging opportunity is ideal for an execution-oriented, customer-obsessed product manager who thrives at the intersection of software and hardware technologies in the connected home. Reporting directly to the Group Product Manager for Software, you will lead a cross-functional effort to define and deliver software features and products that bring our innovative water solutions to life.

The ideal candidate will have 5+  years’ experience in software product management or development, with a strong background in connected products, mobile technologies, and cloud services. They should be skilled in Agile methodologies, product strategy, and managing complex product ecosystems, with a data-driven approach and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with all work performed at our North Olmsted, OH office.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Enhancing the Moen Smart Water Network by adding features that integrate showers, faucets, shutoff valves, and irrigation systems into a seamless, software-driven experience.
  • Guiding innovation and launching new products and features with minimal direction in partnership with hardware category managers.
  • Acting as a software product owner for scrum teams, including designers, engineers, and QA specialists.
  • Collaborating with engineers to influence system architecture and design for optimal performance.
  • Driving the development and market launch of new products, categories, and ecosystem features.
  • Refining and advancing platform features alongside category managers, designers, and engineering teams.
  • Operating in an Agile environment to prioritize needs, outline milestones, and deliver results.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to shape product vision, strategy, and prioritization.
  • Managing product plans, defining desired outcomes, and setting team OKRs for new features and improvements.
  • Maintaining and prioritizing the sprint backlog to ensure timely delivery.
  • Managing functional discovery, design processes, and UX refinement to meet user and technology needs.
  • Monitoring product performance post-launch to guide future investments and enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in software product management or development, with at least 1 year in connected products (experience in QA, development, technical program management, or product design preferred).
  • BA/BS in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Jira or similar project management tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of software development, including system architecture, APIs, cloud services, and mobile technologies.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and make decisions on feasibility and design trade-offs.
  • Extensive experience with mobile technologies (iOS and Android), connected devices (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth), and cloud services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on user-centered design.
  • Experience managing complex software platforms and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Data-driven approach to product development and continuous improvement.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Knowledge of whole home water solutions, data science, and machine learning.
  • Familiarity with product ecosystems and managing dependencies across interconnected products and services.
