Scope/Summary

  • The IT Business Analyst & Product Owner will be part of Chubb’s North America Personal Lines IT Team.Β  They will work with stakeholders from business and IT to develop technology enhancements and solutions that support Chubb’s Personal Lines business unit.Β 
  • Β This individual will support cross functional projects with multiple stakeholders.Β Success requires a combination of strong analytical skills, technical competency, and communication skills.Β

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to function and manage requirements gathering and definition in an Agile/waterfall hybrid environment.
  • Responsible for working with business stakeholders in Agile project delivery, effectively manage the product backlog; and manage changes to such specifications in accordance with Chubb and/or industry standards and processes.Β 
  • Serve as a point of contact with key stakeholders from IT, Operations, Product applications and Finance within Chubb NA Personal lines for enhancements, issue identification, escalation, and resolution related to Personal Lines Policy Admin systems.Β 
  • This role will assist in the business process design and documentation as needed for new products; enhancements; translate high level business requirements into functional features for the IT organization.
  • Troubleshoot issues and engage appropriate support teams (IT, Operational, Vendor) for resolution, and carefully inform business leaders and end users of status.
  • Actively participate and lead status meetings, requirements gathering and design sessions, implementation planning sessions, and effectively multi-task across multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

Β 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant technical or business work experience.Β  Β Demonstrate clear understanding of business process disciplines.Β 
  • Communicate appropriately with many levels, from processors to senior management.Β Escalate problems and questions when needed.Β 
  • Experience integrating business needs with technology capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience participating in large-scale change projects with aggressive timelines
  • Work well with onsite and offsite resources.Β 
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is strongly desired.Β  The ability to expose requirements through detail questions and propose alternate solutions options is critical.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to work independently and with teams.

The pay range for the role is $115,000 to $162,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
