Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work 


 


As a Product Manager for Target’s Server Driven UI team, you will help the millions of guests who shop on Target.com and the Target App each day by providing server-side services that help the front-end clients meet Guest expectations and differentiated ways of shopping.  You will be at the center of Target’s Digital platform capabilities helping to modernize and accelerate how we approach feature development and cross platform party by bringing client-side data aggregation and logic to our servers.  The Server driven UI platform will reduce the need for duplication of code across platforms allowing for faster Guest experience experimentation and feature iterations.  The new server driven capabilities will drive experience platform flexibility and client enrichment at scale through a self-service platform model. You will partner with stakeholders across Front-end clients, Item, Search and Personalization to provide data enrichment and orchestration services to Digital consumers. Keys to your success will be your ability to understand Front-End client needs and ability to develop solutions that connect server-side teams to front experience clients along with your technical aptitude to partner with technical teams and engineers who build the underlying server-side integrations and capabilities.  


 


As a Senior Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product.  You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product, as well as customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product. 


 


You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.  


 


You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.

About you:  

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience 
  • 6+ years of product management experience and equivalent technical domain experience, preferably in (Enterprise APIs or server-side orchestration) 
  • Experience with technology or engineering background preferred with the ability to facilitate communication between technology teams  
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas) 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to balance technical acumen with leading cross functional partners and collaboration  

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
