Are you interested in using Generative AI to help customers connect and use millions of smart home devices with Alexa? If so, we're seeking an enterprising and collaborative Sr. Product Manager - Tech to join the Alexa Smart Home team to help deliver effortless setup and configuration for smart home devices, and to help customers resolve issues if they arise. Our charter is to create and launch innovative products and features globally that make the lives of our customers better and their homes smarter.

As a Sr. Product Manager - Tech, you will be responsible for ideating, developing, launching, and sustaining new smart home features and services. This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, marketing, user research, and business development among other teams. You will also drive regular roadmap and strategy reviews with senior leadership.

A successful candidate will be both creative and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products that customers love. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy, with a proven track record of creating successful products and services.

Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end definition and execution for new features and services.
- Drive the development of the strategy, roadmap, and business plan for your product area, and drive alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Become a domain expert through daily use of prototypes and complementary products.
- Be a passionate advocate for the customer; understand and articulate customer needs, and conduct ongoing customer research.
- Research and understand the capabilities and limitations of generative AI technologies and their impact on the customer experience.
- Own the business metrics and KPIs for setting up and troubleshooting devices with Alexa.


- 6+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services

- Master's degree
- Expertise in integrating LLM/Generative AI capabilities into innovative product solutions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
