Your mission:

The Product Manager will play a key role in shaping the future ofΒ Controller-Pilot Datalink CommunicationsΒ (CPDLC) and the corresponding, Skyguide developed, monitoring tool "DLS cockpit". In a small, innovative team we create value for our customers.

Your tasks:

As a Swiss-wide Product Manager for the Data Link technology, youΒ 

  • Shape and apply the Skyguide strategy for datalink systems
  • Lead technical evolution of the Data Link systems, focusing on issue resolution and service improvements at both Swiss and European levels
  • Manage system changes, modernization initiatives, and actively participate in industry working groups and projects to advance Data Link capabilities
  • Drive collaboration within the European Data Link community through workshops and knowledge sharing

As a Product Manager for the DLS cockpit, you

  • Lead product strategy and development for the DLS cockpit system, collaborating across sales, marketing, and technical teams
  • Drive customer acquisition, requirements management, and project implementation while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Oversee technical documentation, supplier relations, and infrastructure support, working closely with architects and developers throughout the product lifecycle
  • Support both business development activities (sales, events) and technical implementation (system design, maintenance, documentation, deployment)

What we are looking for:Β 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) - Master, an asset
  • At least 3 years' experience in telecommunication, system engineering, ATM/ATC or related fields
  • Experience of network protocols and principles, telecommunication (e.g. satellite, Air-Ground communication)
  • IT infrastructure and systems architecture background required
  • Aviation telecom or ATM/ATC systems experience, an asset
  • Linux system administration skills, an asset
  • Data science and Machine Learning expertise, an asset
  • Basic programming knowledge (Java, Python, or JavaScript), an asset
  • You view situations as part of a larger system, understanding how changes affect the whole, and approach challenges from multiple angles while considering various options
  • You engage in interactions with diverse team members and actively contribute information, ideas, and insights in meetings or other interactions
  • Proficient in English and French, written and orally. German, an asset
