Job Overview


As a Technical Product Manager, you will be the voice of the customer while having a deep understanding of the technical requirements for the successful delivery of your product. You will own the execution of the product road map in your area and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, architects, data scientists, analytics, and business partners throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to execution. You will work in an agile environment with a focus on continuous improvement where ideas and feedback are encouraged. You will be empowered to make decisions and contribute in a meaningful and impactful way by balancing the business needs against technical feasibility and complexity.


 


What You Will Do


 



  • Develop, drive and maintain product roadmap that align business goals against technical requirements based on product strategy by delivering on milestones driven by OKRs.

  • Drive product discovery for defined customer problems, drawing insights and ideas that impact the product roadmap and individual feature development.

  • Gather customer needs and synthesize them into technical requirements.

  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress to partners across Macy’s.

  • Continually maintain a healthy backlog of groomed, insight-driven user stories. 

  • Work to align internal teams, including developers, engineers, Q.A, and operations.  

  • Participate in engineering and analytical discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to product features that drive growth and technical optimization.

  • Understand data pipelines, automated systems, testing frameworks, and architectural diagrams.

  • Recognize, evaluate, and tackle risk.

  • Work with the Engineering team to prioritize and manage delivery features are on time with high quality.

  • Partner with engineering scrum teams and engineering leads to refine technical requirements.

  • Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.

  • Own the creation and maintenance of product documentation.

  • Collaborate to conduct market research to look for gaps and conduct capability analyses regularly.
     


Skills You Will Need



  • Product Management: Build and execute roadmaps, ability gather and capture both business and technical requirements, and solid understanding of modern technologies and architecture patterns.

  • Communication: Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Relationships: Demonstrates an energetic and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Collaboration: Customer-centric and experienced with successful cross-functional collaboration.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Attention to detail, strong documentation, organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities.


 


Who You Are



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • 2+ years of product management experience, focusing on driving growth and engagement preferably with a focus on collaborative Microsoft Technology solutions such as Office 365, SharePoint, Viva, and Teams; 3+ years overall technical development experience.

  • SCRUM/Safe/Agile experience required.

  • Proven record in delivering end-to-end product solutions.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment, including defining and documenting product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, is a plus.

  • Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems.

  • You love products and the art of the product management culture.
