Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead and manage large-scale projects across our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and a proven track record in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in aviation or related fields, though it is not a strict requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale technical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, marketing, and external partners, to align project objectives and ensure successful delivery.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

  • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, managing project budgets and timelines to optimize project outcomes.

  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and deliverables.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve program management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation of project plans, progress, and outcomes, facilitating knowledge sharing and continuity.

  • Technical Expertise: Apply technical knowledge to guide project decisions and troubleshoot issues, ensuring technical feasibility and quality.

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex technical projects, with a strong track record of delivering results.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong technical background, with the ability to understand and guide technical project aspects.

  • Aviation Background (Preferred): Experience in aviation or related fields, with an understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirements.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving project requirements and business needs.

Bonus Points

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in technical program management or related roles.

  • Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certifications.

  • Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Aviation Industry: Previous experience working in the aviation industry.

This is a hybrid role and requires working from our San Carlos, CA office at least three days a week, with the option to work remotely the remaining days.
