POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for strategic and operational management of the IT applications that service the Real Estate Development and Construction departments. This responsibility includes requirement analysis, product selection, design, support, and maintenance of the systems. The product manager will work closely with senior RE Development leadership, internal IT leadership, and representatives of the RE Development and Development Financial Services teams to execute and support their IT projects. The position provides management with analysis and recommendations to improve and expand applications, reporting solutions, and application performance in support of the company's strategic business and technology plans. The ideal candidate will have experience and passion for data and asset reporting solutions across multiple departments. This hands-on role involves performing senior-level business systems analysis, report development, and project management activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide oversight and management of the IT Applications to deliver IT services for Development, including Real Estate Development, Infrastructure Development, Condo Sales, Small-Scale Development, Self-Performing Construction, and Development Financial Services
    • Lead the design and development of the analytical/Power BI project designed to understand key business processes that drive construction, asset, and investment level reporting
    • Manage and support enhancements to the Yardi Construction Manager platform for development
    • Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance
    • Communicates and resolves related system problems within the department and collaborates with other teams and vendors on changes, fixes, and updates
    • Works closely with all other IT management personnel in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing real estate and infrastructure development-specific information technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies
    • Identify, engage, and manage outside partners/vendors to provide services in support of operations of systems and technology services, and for projects for technology initiatives and in support of business processes
    • Keeps abreast of new developments and forecasts future trends in the area of application integration in the real estate construction and development industry
    • Maintains a strong understanding of technology and its application to achieve business objectives
    • Serves as an internal consultant to other IT management staff and operations team, as needed

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)

    • A Bachelor's degree and related work experience is required
    • 5+ years of management and/or project management experience
    • 5+ years of real estate or private investments experience
    • 5+ years of data warehouse and data modeling experience
    • Proven history of successful large-scale reporting solution implementations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Strong knowledge of data analytics, business processes and/or Real estate construction business
    • Experience with Yardi Construction manager and Job Cost, or similar software such as ProCore, AutoDesk, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, etc.
    • Experience working with technology related to the real estate development
    • Working knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server/ T-SQL, data modeling, and BI/Analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau) is recommended.Β  Able to construct queries in a timely manner for analysis, integrations, and report building
    • Extensive understanding of data models in PowerBI, extending source system data via custom calculated columns, including Experience designing and publishing data models for widespread use preferred
    • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management Methodology (PMM) fundamentals and business process analysis
    • Knowledge and understanding of goals and the interdependencies of functional departments and groups in real estate industry and the ability to lead large-scale complex IT projects in addressing overall business needs
    • Knowledge of informational technology disciplines; e.g., software applications and interfaces, production operations, quality assurance and systems management, etc.

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role is eligible for bonus pay in addition to base salary. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles, CA is $135,000- $185,000.
