Associate Product Manager

Position Summary:
McGee Group is searching for a person to manage and coordinate Product Development for our core product lines. These products include optical frames, sunglasses, reading glasses, and frame cases. The successful candidate will work as a member of a passionate design team. McGee Group offers a fast-paced, creative, challenging environment with which to create fashion-forward products.

Position Responsibilities:
Β· Assist designer with creating and maintaining accurate product profilers/spec sheets with all pertinent information to manufacture eyewear and sun wear designs.
Β· Daily communication to overseas factories pertaining to new product details, sample delivery dates, and quality control assessment of pre-production samples.
Β· Manage the product calendar for various channels of business, retail, wholesale and chain, ensuring that timelines are meet for final product releases.
Β· Create and maintain all costing details from initial unit pricing to landed cost.
Β· Track order status of products to alert internal brand team of any potential delays.
Β· Maintain accurate and up to date samples labelled in various stages of the development cycle with all relevant notes.
Β· Prepare for internal order meetings with organized trays of products, corresponding line sheets with product details, unit pricing, and landed margins.
Β· Work closely with QC team to perform a quality control assessment of new products.
Β· Assist with briefing and training the sales team at annual sales meetings.
Β· Assist with briefing marketing dept on all new product releases for company PR efforts.
Β· Support the development of brand identity devices (ie β product logo placements, packaging, frame and sunglass cases, etc).
Β· Work closely w/ licensors to preserve the integrity of their properties and translate their brand identity into saleable optical products.
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
Β· Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and follow-up skills are a must.
Β· Ability to manage large amounts of data pertaining to 100+ skus at various stages of the product development cycle.
Β· Previous experience working with overseas and domestic vendors preferred.
Β· Open minded, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
Β· Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Β· Exceptionally efficient and self-motivated.

Candidate Requirements:

Β· Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experience required
Β· Previous Product Development experience 2 year minimum.
Β· Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
Β· Able to drive forward multiple priorities simultaneously

Β· Proficient with Microsoft Office β Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
