Gordian is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Product Platform Strategy to lead a high-performing team within our Product Management organization. As the Director, you will play a critical role in shaping the vision and execution of Gordianβs platform strategy, developing scalable and innovative solutions that address the construction industryβs unique challenges. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and operational execution, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team to deliver high-impact, customer-centric platform solutions. You will be responsible for guiding roadmap prioritization, aligning product initiatives with Gordianβs North Star strategy, and ensuring that all deliverables meet both customer needs and business objectives. A key part of your role will involve fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and communicate delivery timeframes. Staying informed on industry trends and best practices will be essential to maintaining Gordianβs competitive edge.

Responsibilities:Β
- Team Leadership and Development:Β Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing Platform Strategy team, fostering a culture of innovation, customer obsession, and results-oriented execution. Provide situational leadership to the Platform Strategy team, balancing directive and supportive approaches based on each team member's development level.
- Results Delivery: Set measurable targets and drive the team to meet or exceed these goals, ensuring an impact-driven approach to LPM initiatives.Β
- Customer Value Delivery: Drive the delivery of high-impact platform capabilities that address critical customer needs, ensuring functionality is delivered in iterative, manageable releases aligned with Gordianβs North Star Strategy. Guide the team in identifying and solving customer pain points with scalable solutions.
- Roadmap Prioritization and Execution: Oversee and prioritize key roadmap initiatives, ensuring alignment with Gordianβs strategic goals and high-priority LPM initiatives. Lead discussions on prioritization and resource allocation to maximize strategic impact, while adhering to the Development Lifecycle Process.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Cultivate strong partnerships with key business stakeholders to lead collaboration with executive and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and transparency in platform goals and outcomes.
- Innovation and Efficiency: Drive the development of scalable, impactful solutions that deliver measurable customer value while maximizing operational efficiency.

Qualifications:Β
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, platform strategy, or a related field with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Proven experience in building, leading, and mentoring a high-performing team with the ability to foster collaborative, results-oriented culture. Experience in change management preferred.Β
- Strong influence and relationship-building skills, with a track record of effectively aligning cross-functional teams around strategic initiatives. Β
- Proven track record in managing product roadmaps, writing customer-centric initiatives, and delivering measurable results.Β
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey highly technical concepts clearly and precisely.
- Advanced understanding in Agile methodologies and experience with product management frameworks.Β
- Extensive experience in cross-functional collaboration, with a track record of successfully aligning product, engineering, design, and commercial teams.
- Ability to drive value-based decisions that align with strategic objectives and deliver customer impact.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess data and feedback to inform strategic decisions.Β
Understanding of the construction industry, including key customer challenges and market trends is a plus.Β
