Position: Principal Product Manager

Duties: Develop functional and technical product specifications for the architecture of Wal-Martβs store warehouse management system platform components by using artifacts such as systems flow, product requirement documents, and logical data models. Drive the evolution of the store backroom by collaborating with architects, services product managers, and other stakeholders to develop, maintain, and evangelize the technical product roadmap. Responsible for vendor relationships and identifying emerging technology platforms; evaluating and selecting vendors; negotiating agreements and contracts; monitoring partner integration; and securing necessary engagement and resource alignment for the creation of co-developed product features. Develop and champion a product strategy and roadmap for a specific platform product area in support of architectural vision and principles established by the office of the CTO by leveraging consumer insights, competitive analysis, and insights of emerging technologies to identify new product opportunities and enhancements. Work with multiple functions to build and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions. Support product implementation and deployment by engaging with Platform Engineering and Scrum Masters during implementation to answer questions and make scope trade off decisions. Work closely with services product managers to launch products on top of foundational components of the platform and ensure their adoption. Coordinate post-launch activities to validate that the product works as designed and that acceptance was successful. Guide the development of training materials; train and support users on new product features; and define, track, and improve key product metrics. Provide development opportunities for associates by training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; and coaching for success and improvement. Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives. Consult with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders to solicit, evaluate, and apply suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness. This position does not supervise other employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Masterβs degree or the equivalent in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 3 years of experience in product management or business consulting, or related field; OR Bachelorβs degree or the equivalent in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 6 years of experience in product management or business consulting, or related field.
Skills required: Experience writing functional specifications for complex warehouse management system business requirements. Experience writing functional and technical specifications for warehouse control systems and warehouse execution system integration requirements. Experience designing, configuring, testing, and deploying software solutions for large scale fulfilment center or distribution centers. Experience creating roadmaps and work prioritization using Confluence, Jira, and Service Now. Experience guiding software development teams and driving large projects using Agile Methodologies (including Scrum and Kanban). Experience converting legacy warehouse management systems to new warehouse management system software. Experience with Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems. Experience designing and testing UX and UI features for mobile and web applications. Experience building complex reporting and dashboards using Tableau and Teradata. Experience using Webservices and APIs. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $146,994/year to $264,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.β― Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
