The market for these kinds of solutions is over $20B annually. As a Principal Product Manager in the Enterprise and Cloud Manageability Group, you will define product specifications and strategy to simplify management of Databases.
You will work with engineering to design and deliver services of on-premises and cloud offering that will delight Oracle customers.

The Product Manager Role
Product Managers (PMs) are often referred to as “CEOs of the product.” What that means is that PMs play a strategic role in the lifecycle of everything we ultimately provide to customers, including understanding market trends and customer needs (requirements definition), working with the engineering team to respond to those needs (designing the offerings, including weighing build/buy/partner decisions), taking those offerings to market (including channel and partner enablement) and serving as ongoing product evangelists (delivering tech talks, authoring white papers, blogs, and presentations, working with customers to make them successful) – all the while planning ahead to the next generation of each offering.
The role requires strategic thinkers who are curious and excited about both participating in and shaping the next phase of the IT Operations market, with strong technical fluency (these are technical products) but also an interest in making products easier for real humans to use. This position requires collaboration with many stakeholders, so strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as is a desire to work with a diverse set of people

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
