Product Manager

HireRight is looking for a Product Manager supporting the background screening programs of our most complex public and private sector clients. It is a strategic product team within the organization and their work powers the best background screening and monitoring business in the industry. ​

They will collaborate with a product development organization and establish close partnerships with colleagues in both business and technical functions to products and services that exceed client expectations from ideation to launch. The Product Manager will deliver the highest quality products and services to fully support the client’s workflows and their candidates’ experiences.Β  This is an exciting role for a strategic and innovative individual to reimagine and drive our screening products working closely with our Enterprise Management team.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap priorities based on customer, regulatory, and business needs
  • Translation of business requirements into technical features and functionalities
  • Understanding of business problem client is trying to solve with the product workflows, features and functionsΒ 
  • Translate client requirements into detail user stories ready for development
  • Coordinates trade-off and dependency analysis for team’s based on client and business priorities
  • Skilled in the technical language of engineering, software development, and UX
  • Identifies, develops, and prioritizes product and application initiatives for their area
  • Contributes to all Agile ceremonies including story refinement, sprint planning, and release planning with the Agile team.
  • Creating epic and feature level requirements for Agile delivery teams
  • Ensures internal customer validation of solutions by working with key End Users.
  • Create and modify documentation used by HireRight and its partners and customers.
  • Can take business requirements and correlate to technical requirements
  • Understand technical features and functions and what their impact could be on desired workflow/project outcome
  • Write and help coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and test cases
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of end user documents, training materials, and user demos

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, a related field, and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience defining, building, and launching successful B2B SaaS products
  • Resident of the United States due to the security of the clients supported
  • Experience overseeing product prioritization, roadmap, and requirements definition
  • Experience leading and collaborating with large distributed and cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing sizable, complex project management engagements

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Customer-centric with deep empathy and understanding for customers and users
  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of and expertise in multiple product management disciplines and functional areas including:
  • Market research and competitive analysis
  • User experience (UX) and product design
  • Product roadmap and requirements definition
  • Agile software development methods and practices
  • Analytics, insights, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Public-sector experience a plus
