Product Manager

The Google Cloud Build, Provisioning, and Automation team at Apex plays a critical role in building and maintaining the cloud platform infrastructure that powers key business operations. The team focuses on delivering scalable platform builds, managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) costs, enabling smooth migrations from on-premise and other cloud platforms to GCP, and ensuring the successful execution and delivery of infrastructure-related projects. This team ensures Apex's cloud infrastructure is robust, cost-effective, and optimized for critical business workloads. 

As a Product Manager on this high-impact team, you will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to drive clear requirements, roadmap priorities, and successful project delivery. Your focus will be on understanding the technical and business needs of GCP migrations, cost optimizations, provisioning automation, and platform builds. Your role is critical in ensuring that the team delivers on its commitments and that its value and impact are well-communicated across the organization. Over time, you’ll grow into a technical and product leadership role, evolving into the face and brand of the team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Product & Roadmap Management:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize the roadmap for GCP migrations, infrastructure provisioning automation, and platform builds.
• Break down large initiatives into well-defined epics, user stories, or requirements for the engineering team.
• Continuously evaluate product priorities based on business needs, technical feasibility, and team capacity.
• Document and communicate product updates, progress, and roadmaps to stakeholders across the organization.

Team Empowerment & Project Success: 

• Partner with engineers to streamline processes, overcome roadblocks, and ensure the flawless execution of initiatives.
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, set clear expectations, and align on delivery milestones.
• Manage the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
• Monitor and track the team's success metrics, such as project timelines, GCP cost savings, and migration milestones.

Google Cloud Platform Cost Optimization: 

• Analyze and identify opportunities to optimize Apex's usage of Google Cloud resources and reduce operating costs.
• Collaborate with engineers and finance teams to implement cost-saving measures and ensure efficient use of GCP resources.

Cloud Unification Management: 

• Support smooth migrations from on-premise environments and other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to GCP by coordinating objectives, timelines, and dependencies.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure that migrations minimize impact on operational workloads while meeting performance and scalability goals.

Team Advocacy & Representation: 

• Serve as the face of the team, communicating progress, accomplishments, and impact to leadership and stakeholders.
• Build alignment between the team and external stakeholders, advocating for resources and support when needed.
• Highlight the team’s contributions to business success and help build its reputation for reliability and excellence.

Growth into Technical Leadership: 

• Develop a deep understanding of the team’s technical projects, including cloud provisioning, automation frameworks, and platform builds.
• Grow your competence as a trusted technical and product leader by contributing to project decisions and driving efficiency in processes.

Qualifications: 

• 3 years of experience in product management, program management, or a similar role, preferably in a cloud infrastructure or technology-driven environment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS and Azure), infrastructure provisioning, and cloud migration concepts is a plus.
• A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to evaluate priorities, costs, and impact.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience collaborating across technical and business teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, balance priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced setting.
• Eagerness to grow into technical and product leadership, with a focus on infrastructure and automation.
