Job Overview:
The Product Specialist has a deep understanding of the games in our catalog, directly manages Distributionβs relationship with a number of studios and helps manage the product life cycle. They write all documentation for the games they support and have input on marketing plans, release dates and new release announcements.
Primary Responsibilities:
β’ Develop and maintain a deep knowledge on all products that are part of our catalog, so
they can be integrated in trade presentations, Sales training sessions and presentations
online.
β’ Create a document per Studio with all product features, advantages, and other product
information relevant to sales and purchasing.
β’ Write all sell sheets for their products and maintain an internal and external SharePoint /
Dropbox folder per game with game assets.
β’ Research and fully understand new products and product lines in order to develop clear
positioning tactics for them.
β’ Understand the overall strategy and sales priorities of Asmodee USA Distribution and
convey them in all exchanges with assigned Studios and team members.
β’ Help Studios gain local market knowledge by sharing market trends and activity.
β’ Communicate with the assigned Studios on a regular basis about new products, marketing
plans, sales initiatives and results. Prepare and present a quarterly report to Studios,
including sales and major promotional activities.
β’ Work closely with the Forecasting & Purchasing team to give feedback on new products
before the PO is placed.
β’ Contribute in training Sales team on Studiosβ products when necessary.
β’ Facilitate Studio training sessions for the Sales team in cooperation with the Trade
Marketing Specialist.
β’ Ensure Studiosβ catalogs are well represented and integrated in all US marketing activity
(trade programs, shows, catalogs, merchandising initiatives).
β’ Plan and negotiate cost for promo items for trade programs and other activities with the
Studios.
β’ Research and stay updated on competition to better plan marketing initiatives and advise
their Studios.
β’ Contribute to planning of events for Distribution while taking into account the Studio and
Asmodeeβs goals and objectives.
β’ Ensure your teamβs and the Distribution teamβs goals are met through effective teamwork.
β’ Understand and implement Asmodeeβs values in your daily work.
Education/Experience:
β’ Minimum of Bachelorβs degree or related experience.
β’ Minimum of seven (7) years marketing experience.
β’ Experience in the hobby game market necessary.
Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
β’ Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with different deadlines.
β’ Ability to build a relationship of trust and partnership with their Studios.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
