Job Purpose & Responsibilities:

In this role, you will own product strategy, product requirements and roadmap for Elo’s Android device offerings. As the Product Manager, you will:

  • Define and deliver a product vision, strategy, and business metrics for our device offerings 
  • Possess strong communication skills to articulate product vision and align stakeholders
  • Create product requirements documents and functional specifications
  • Complete VOC (Voice of the Customer) to understand customer needs and innovate accordingly to build a competitive and unique product 
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy
  • Identify trends in Android device adoption across enterprise, retail, and hospitality verticals
  • Work with your product management colleagues (hardware and software) to align features, launch timelines and roadmaps.  
  • Work with the engineering team to deliver a scalable architecture for current and future market needs
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful product delivery
  • Manage product escalations and prioritization.
  • Communicate key features, process and benefits through marketing documents and contributions to our knowledge base
  • Be able to shepherd new products through design and development, making customer and business-informed decisions along the way
  • Drive new product launches including unit volume planning, GTM strategy, and pricing strategy

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of product management experience 
  • Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Marketing
  • Demonstrated experience working with the Android OS as a product manager or developer 
  • Demonstrated experience with hardware architecture for Android devices
  • Demonstrated experience working with customers to solve their specific challenges, understanding customer use cases, and translating into product requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Demonstrated experience with payments devices and / or fintech product offerings

 

Specific Professional Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent presentation skills for product training sessions and customer engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in multiple environments: Customer presentations, informal customer meetings, and management reporting
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use data and metrics for making assumptions and business decisions
  • Demonstrated experience balancing conflicting requirements from multiple stakeholders to develop a viable roadmap and business case.

 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to OSHA single person lift requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Must be able to work a standard full-time schedule
  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule in one of our offices (Milpitas, CA, Richardson, TX or Knoxville, TN) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $88,100 and $140,700 annually is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
