Product Manager

AquaPhoenix Scientific, headquartered in Hanover, PA, is an industry leader in water testing kits, industrial equipment, software, and reagent manufacturing used in the commercial water treatment industry. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Product Manager responsible for the continual development and maintenance of the Company’s industrial product portfolio. As a key member of our Research and Development team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to navigate the complexities of product launches by driving innovative thinking, product designs, sourcing, customer interactions, and adherence to timelines.  

 Must have general knowledge and applicable experience in coordinating product costs, regulatory and technical standards, and ROI projections.   Ability to comprehend, visualize, and identify product opportunities by understanding industry trends and market opportunities is essential to this role.  The opportunity to perform duties remotely will be considered based on candidate qualifications, location, and experience; however, predominately on-site is highly preferred. 

 Essential Responsibilities and Expectations: 

Although not all inclusive, the ideal candidates for the Product Manager will have additional responsibilities, expectations and skills to include: 

• Oversee the development, launch, and performance of industrial products within the Company’s portfolio maximizing market relevance and profitability.
• Lead the product creation process from initial customer concept through to production; ensuring that all products meet technical and industry standards, quality expectations, costs, and ROI metrics.
• Ability to oversee multiple product development projects simultaneously.
• Collaborate with other departments to prioritize product features and ensure timely launches.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
• Assist in developing product life-cycle’s vision, go-to market strategy, and roadmap based on customer feedback, competitive analysis, research, and business objectives.
• Track and record department performance measures in accordance with outlined KPI standards to include detailed project plans and budgets.
• Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to product safety, labeling, and environmental sustainability.
• Develop product specifications or modifications in support of manufacturing and customer needs.

Desired Skills, Education, and Knowledge

AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Product Manager will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or technical school certification is preferred.  Candidates should possess 5+ years’ experience in product development, project management, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful product launches.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams.
• Exemplary presentation and communication skills explaining product launch.
• Occasional, infrequent travel to meetings, company events/trade shows, and training opportunities.
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, ethics, professionalism, and integrity with an approachable and open demeanor.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills related to spreadsheets, word processing and industry specific software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of attention to detail.
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner with the ability to perform task through to completion.
