Description

Accountable for the strategy and product lifecycle for the Commercial Door Business under the Overhead Door and Wayne Dalton brand names. Lead a cross-functional Product Business Team that owns the action plan to deliver increased sales and margins to the business.Β

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the Management of the full product development lifecycle and successful market launch and expansion.
  • Own the financial P&L for CommercialΒ DoorsΒ including monitoring key performance metrics.
  • Manage existing CommercialΒ door product lines and 3-year roadmap.
  • Drives the development of business cases which define the product value proposition to support product roadmap investments in collaboration with business partners.
  • Analyze market situations, and develop appropriate pricing strategies for current and new products.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive analysis and macro-industry trendsΒ 
  • Determine the new product development roadmap as well as the customer requirements, launch commercialization and financial returns.
  • Explore and develop new opportunities – through products, branding, channels, processes, technologies, etc. Link to existing product strategies and overall strategic plan.


Qualifications
  • 3 to 7 years of product managementΒ experience; should include knowledge of manufacturing environment and sales organizations/ channels, preferably in consumer durable or packaged goods
  • Business development and product marketing background, with experience developing product plans and strategy work
  • Solid problem-solving skills, creativity, and ability to break down a situation into pieces that can be resolved by the team
  • Experience in LeveragingΒ brand marketing, market research, sales training, and field communicationsΒ 
  • Computer literate in MS Office products
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills – for both internal groups as well as clients and trade groups/ seminars
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Action and results oriented

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in BusinessΒ or Engineering.Β  MBA a plus
