Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning and refining the processes involved in delivering key performance indicators (KPIs), reports, and actionable insights across the organization. As the critical interface between business stakeholders and the BI team, the Product Owner will ensure that business needs are translated into detailed requirements that deliver measurable impact. This role is key to enabling data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization, from leadership to customer-facing teams. Additionally, the Product Owner will manage the lifecycle of BI products, continuously optimizing them to ensure their relevance, usability, and effectiveness.

The Product Owner will play a pivotal role in advancing our organization's digital journey by enabling data-driven decision-making at every level. This role is essential in balancing the needs of leadershipβ€”through high-level insights that provide a clear 'temperature check'β€”with actionable, detailed decision support for customer-facing employees. By translating business needs into clear, actionable intelligence, the Product Owner will ensure that reports and insights are aligned with organizational goals and tailored to diverse audiences. This role will also oversee the lifecycle of BI products, optimizing and refining them to meet evolving business needs, ensuring that both the user experience and the underlying data are consistently delivering value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders to understand their reporting needs and priorities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Requirement Definition: Translate business needs into detailed requirements for KPIs, reports, and dashboards, specifying scope, layout, and functionality (e.g., drill-down capabilities).
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with the BI team, data engineers, and data scientists to ensure technical execution aligns with the business's strategic needs.
  • Project Management: Provide accurate estimates for report development in terms of time, cost, and resource constraints, managing projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage and optimize the lifecycle of BI products, ensuring ongoing relevance, accuracy, and usability, while driving necessary UI and functionality enhancements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Incorporate best practices for reporting processes, continuously seeking feedback from stakeholders to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communication and Training: Serve as the bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals. Provide training to end-users on how to utilize reports and insights effectively.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess the impact and effectiveness of reports and KPIs, adjusting them to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Process Documentation: Establish and maintain documentation for the development, delivery, and maintenance of BI products, ensuring transparency and clarity of processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a data-driven environment.
  • Strong experience in KPI development, reporting, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
