About the Role

As a Product Owner, you’ll be at the forefront of our development process, ensuring that the needs of the company and our users are met through thoughtful prioritization and collaboration. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, Business Analysts, and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance usability, efficiency, and value.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the assigned system and its users, focusing on usability and improvements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with department leaders (SVP, VP, and Managers) to align priorities with business goals.
  • Backlog Management: Prioritize, rank, and manage the product backlog to drive efficient development.
  • Requirements Development: Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure accurate and actionable requirements.
  • Development Support: Participate in scrum activities, monitor production defects, and verify post-development functionality before release.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leverage feedback and research to identify opportunities for enhancements and optimize user experiences.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between business units and IT to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Project Oversight: Provide progress updates to stakeholders and collaborate with Project Managers on new initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent industry experience.
  • Preferred: Experience in Property and Casualty Insurance and familiarity with Guidewire suite products.
  • Claims experienceΒ 

Skills:

  • Strong communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in research and working with subject matter experts and executive management.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.

Certifications:

  • Not required but welcomed if applicable.
