The Product Owner I plays a critical role in shaping and delivering high-impact products that meet stakeholder needs and drive business success. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business goals into actionable roadmaps, prioritize development efforts, and ensure seamless product integrations.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Fenton, MO headquarters (onsite Tuesday through Thursday).

Product Strategy & Roadmap (20%)

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with short-term and long-term business objectives.

  • Effectively communicate the roadmap to both stakeholders and the delivery team.

  • Own and understand multiple complex systems and product integrations, ensuring they support the overall client program and strategy.

  • Create and manage project documentation, incorporating stakeholder input to refine requirements and align with business goals.

Backlog Management & Prioritization (50%)

  • Define and refine product requirements, ensuring they align with stakeholder vision and business needs.

  • Act as the bridge between business units, technology teams, and support teams to translate high-level concepts into actionable user stories.

  • Evaluate and prioritize backlog items to maximize product value and team efficiency.

  • Balance usability, performance, and business objectives while making trade-off decisions.

Product Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement (30%)

  • Ensure product deliveries meet stakeholder needs, business requirements, and quality expectations.

  • Provide clarity to the development team on product vision and user stories to drive effective execution.

  • Conduct product demos for clients and stakeholders, confirming alignment with business needs.

  • Monitor delivery progress and proactively communicate updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) required.

  • Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in a Product Owner role or a similar technology-related position required.

  • Strong ability to quickly understand client domains and product requirements.

  • Experience in researching, analyzing, and defining business requirements.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a balance of technical knowledge and business acumen.

  • Proficiency in meeting facilitation, wireframing, and prototyping tools.

  • Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies and driving end-to-end product delivery.
