The Product Owner II (PO II) is an experienced position responsible for developing and driving priorities for software/systems product teams. The primary responsibilities of the PO II is to lead the effort to create software and solutions to support the business strategy. Responsibilities include market analysis and strategy, product roadmap planning and execution, documentation and ownership of the product backlog.
The PO II participates on a cross-functional Agile Scrum team and/or hybrid Agile/Waterfall project team to develop and maintain systems to support internal staff needs or to support customer acquisition and retention, based on the customerβs needs, the competitive landscape, industry trends, and business value to Woodforest National Bank. His/her leadership and product knowledge guide the Design and Development teamsβ efforts and ensure the roadmap and key requirements are met. Additionally, the PO II collaborates with the Business Owner to ensure the strategy aligns with the portfolio goals.
Essentially, the PO II is a trusted advisor to the Business Owner/Business Unit and enhances the businessβ ability to execute on system and process strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Β·Β Β Own, prioritize, and maintain the Product Backlog, including defining epics, writing user stories, documenting defects, and defining acceptance criteria and business requirements documents to support design, development and testing efforts.
Β·Β Β Collaborate to define, analyze, and communicate Product Roadmap alignment with customer needs and business objectives as supported with business cases, market research, customer data, and competitive analysis.
Β·Β Β Lead, collaborate with, and motivate a cross-functional team of user experience partners, designers, business analysts, data analysts, developers, testers, and others to develop, execute, and release in alignment with program and/or product roadmaps.
Β·Β Β Communicate with internal stakeholders about the prioritization of the Product Backlog and the product and release progression status. Fully understand and validate the business strategy and vision.
Β·Β Β Work with internal stakeholders to develop metrics to manage and track benefits, customer satisfaction, adoption, and risks to operations.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Β·Β Β 4+ years of experience with the analysis and implementation of software and hardware solutions systems or products:
Β Β Β Β·Β Β Including 2+ years of experience in delivering software under the Agile Framework, required.
Β·Β Β 2+ years of experience working on a software development team, preferred.
Β·Β Β 2+ years of experience in an Agile, Scrum-based work environment and/or Waterfall development environment, preferred.
Β·Β Β Experience in the banking or financial services industry, preferred.
Formal Education & Certification:
Β·Β Β Bachelorβs Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, Management Information Systems or related field, preferred.
Β·Β Β Certified Scrum Product Owner or SAFe Product Owner Certification preferred.
Β·Β Β Any additional Scrum-related certifications, such as Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Professional, etc., preferred.
Work Status:
Β·Β Β Full-time.

Travel:
Β·Β Β Up to 10% travel expected.
