DescriptionAs the Technical Program Manager for Oracle Fusion Applications Accessibility, you will lead accessibility initiatives within a matrixed organization, championing inclusive design across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You will promote an βaccessibility firstβ mindset within the organization, advocating for accessibility in new products and workflows.
In this role, you will seek solutions through effective collaboration among Fusion Applications Development, Support, and other Lines of Business. This role requires balancing business priorities while advocating for accessibility to drive customer success.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Digital Accessibility design, development, or support, along with 5+ years of direct customer interaction.Β
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates holding a degree in accessibility.Β
- Accessibility Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of accessibility techniques, guidelines, and the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and aging populations.
- WCAG Mastery: Possess in-depth knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
- High EQ with experience in a βsupporting teamβ role both internally and with customers.Β
Desired skills / knowledge
- First-hand experience integrating accessibility best practices within Agile/Scrum workflows and leveraging Jira for feature and defect tracking and be familiar with VPAT or ACR documentationΒ
- Web Development Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong grasp of accessibility techniques in web development, applying HTML, CSS, ARIA, and JavaScript.
- Assistive Technologies: Use assistive technologies across multiple platforms, including JAWS on PC, iOS VoiceOver, and Keyboard for testing.Β
- Proficient using Jira as a feature and defect tracking tool.
- Ability to convey issues and solutions to engineering teams in technical termsΒ as well as adept at breaking down complex accessibility initiatives into clear project timelines and deliverables.
- Demonstrate excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management skills to balance strategic and operational responsibilities effectively.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies, SaaS product lifecycle, release and change management is essential.Β

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, engineering, QA, and tools teams to enhance inclusion and accessibility in design systems and component libraries.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional design workshops, strategic discussions, and accessibility training sessions.
- Work with global and local Federal and Commercial Clients.
- Solving for accessibility-related customer feedback through triaging defects and design issues across internal teams. Identify patterns and ensure accurate bug logging for faster issue resolution.
- Lead strategic discussions on accessibility, identify root causes of issues, and drive effective solutions both internally and externally.
- Leverage design system, technology toolkits, and frameworks to enhance accessibility across products. Β
- Drive process changes that benefit customers and Oracleβs accessibility community.
- Provide accessibility expertise in a collaborative environment, supporting engineering teams during Scaled Agile Program Increments.
