The Residential HVAC Air Filter Product Manager is a working position located in Riverside, California overseeing air filter development for residential markets. The job entails working in all aspects of K&N Research & Development and requires a thorough understanding of residential filtration needs for HVAC or similar devices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages development of all residential HVAC air filtration products from conception through production.
  • Works closely with the Director of Industrial Filtration to align company goals that support the sales and marketing teams as well as other cross-functional departments.
  • Thoroughly understands residential HVAC units, how they operate and filtration requirements.
  • Thoroughly understands residential filtration needs for homes, apartments and similar type dwellings.
  • Works closely with the K&N Manufacturing team to ensure fit, form, function and quality are met.
  • Works closely with K&N Procurement to ensure purchased components meet quality standards along with timelines.
  • Provides essential data, timelines and business cases for product needs for residential filtration products, along with possible accessories to complement.
  • Travel (5-10%) to support sales and marketing needs within the residential filtration space.

Experience, Skills & Education:

  • Must have thorough knowledge of HVAC filtration markets.
  • Must have a background in HVAC and air handling engineering, testing and manufacturing.
  • 5+ years in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD software, preferably SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Windows software.

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive company image to K&N customers.
