Job Description:


This job is responsible for leading a team to maximize the value delivered through multiple programs and/or value streams within a small, less complex delivery portfolio. Key responsibilities include managing and developing the team through coaching, mentoring and feedback, aligning strategy, and execution by applying Lean and systems thinking approaches to strategy, investment funding, portfolio operations, and governance. Job expectations include managing the portfolio, ensuring compliance to standards, and driving continuous improvement to operations and governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs and leads a delivery team aligned to a portfolio and mentors Delivery Leads
  • Manages and improves portfolio operations and governance processes, ensuring risks and roadblocks are escalated and resolved quickly
  • Builds relationships with business and technology executives across multiple organizations, as well as Compliance and Risk
  • Partners with the key stakeholders and leaders to define the vision and creating the portfolio roadmap aligned to strategic goals
  • Provides status updates and reporting for the portfolio to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to the desired outcomes, delivery, risks, issues, and schedule
  • Manages overall portfolio financials, Profit and Loss (P&L), and performance
  • Ensures adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards

LOB Specific Job Description

Position Summary

The role is to provide oversight for Risk Issues aligned to the EEDS technology space. The role will oversee all Issues and remediation requirements in support for Risk Action plans; and will ensure on time delivery and risk remediation within EEDS Technology streams.

Β The role will report to the Risk Portfolio lead and will be working alongside our other Risk Leads, AIT risk team. They will create strong relationships with Portfolio leans, Service, Product and Engineering; and will be the lead interface into our partners in GIS, Compliance and first line Risk to ensure development and remediation of risks within the Banks risk framework.

  • Own the Risk and drive the remediation to ensure
  • Work with Risk leads and Risk champions to develop the Risk submissions and the associated action plans
  • Responsible for the processes for risk management, risk intake, risk planning or risk acceptance
  • Track action plans to ensure targets dates are achieved
  • Due diligence to ensure evidence is correct and submitted in support of action plans.
  • Hold the teams where the risk is present to account by ensuring that they understand their responsibilities for sustainability
  • Present action plan status reported for management review
  • Timely escalation of action plan problems and gaps
  • Support SPI/POP alignment and intake process where the development of processes is required to support remediation
  • Support the development ERPs and GIS Risk exception submissions
  • Track Issue status and escalations
  • Obtain approvals & take through risk submission forum
  • Gap assessments and action plan development
  • Assist with annual policy ECT end standards refresh.
  • Assist with direct and indirect audits/assessments.
  • Assist with GIS procedures, schedule revisions, and insuring governance.

Required Skills
  • Extensive risk management experience within technical environment
  • Experience of working with a range of technical and/or risk teams
  • Presenting and Influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive delivery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation creation and delivery
  • Ability to produce and maintain high quality plans, action logs, risk trackers, etc.
  • Good understanding of Risk frameworks

Desired Skills
  • Experience in Agile delivery (SCRUM), backlog creation and iterative delivery
  • Strong analytical skills and use of tools (excel) to report and track vulnerabilities and impact
  • Process definition and optimization based on Risk requirements
  • Up to date with the latest bank policies, standards and security baselines
  • Working knowledge of IT risks and ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce controls to manage and mitigate identified risksΒ
