DescriptionThe Position:Β This position translates ideas and market research into strategy to manage the product and portfolio life cycles. Β Additionally, ensures that a productβs services and features meet the market's needs and the product's initial design intent. Develop strategies to maintain or increase a productβs profit margin throughout the product life cycle. Stays abreast of competitor activities as well as industry trends and regulatory compliance issues.Β
- Established overall strategy for delivering sales tools and collateral to the field for sales engagements. Gathered product evidence in the form of benchmarks, demos, case studies, and testimonials.Β
- Boost internal and external product awareness through websites, events, advertising, and PR.Β
- Responsible for determining pricing, channel placement, launch, sustained promotion, and ongoing changes to products through the product life cycle.
Reporting Structure:Β The position reports to the VP of Marketing Horton Pedestrian Access Systems (HPAS).
Location: Β The position is located at the corporate offices of Overhead Door Corporation/division offices for HPAS.

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities
- Develop and implement product strategies consistent with the company's vision
- Work with the Director of Marketing to create product plans and roadmaps
- Gather the Voice of the Customer input and develop Customer Fitness for Use Criteria
- Develop product requirements and multi-year roadmaps
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features, and end products
- Leading and coordinating with engineering, marketing, and other teams
- Identify channels of distribution and brand opportunities for product development, placement, and profitable growth
- Determine specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction, through launch and commercialization
- Produce and review product requirements documents, including screener (PRD)
- Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
- Make creative recommendations to expand the product base and vision
- Suggest ways to track product use and impact on end users
- Recommend product extensions to eliminate market barriers and extend sales
QualificationsSkills/Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years of product marketing experience; should include knowledge of manufacturing environment and sales organizations/ channels, preferably in consumer durable or packaged goods
- Business development and product marketing background, with experience developing product plans and strategy work
- Knowledge of processes related to brand marketing, market research, sales training, and field communicationsΒ
- Computer literate in MS Office products
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills β for both internal groups as well as clients and trade groups/ seminars
- Good problem-solving skills, Six Sigma training a plus
- Flexibility and adaptability

Education Requirements:
