Position Summary:

The Technical Product Manager will lead efforts towards the successful launch of software products, owning the product lifecycle and driving implementation. This role is a hybrid tech-business position requiring a high degree of technical software knowledge, hands-on mechanical field visits and relevant marketing or business experience.Β 


Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Fully understand the company’s business strategy to drive implementation of products in partnership with internal technical and fabrication teams and external software and firmware contractors.
  • Champion the product vision and define value-based roadmap together with key stakeholders.
  • Work with key stakeholders to gather well-defined user requirements that deliver the product vision.
  • Document user stories and acceptance criteria to maintain 90 days’ worth of the Product Backlog.
  • Collect user feedback from proposed design, mock-ups, prototypes, or demos.
  • Set product development priorities which align with the product strategy and technical capabilities.
  • Create and document Initiatives and Epics in JIRA.
  • Guide the engineering team to understand how to vertically divide work to continuously deliver value.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for development teams, ensuring alignment between technical execution and business priorities.
  • Act as the voice of customer in Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Prepare Sprint Review materials and demo (with Scrum team support).
  • Define beta test requirements and metrics to track.
  • Cross-collaborate with Sales and Tech Service to ensure internal customer adoption.
  • Lead marketing initiatives to quantify the product value and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
  • Any other related duties required for project or product success.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Travel:

  • 10 – 20%: Quarterly field rides will be required to build collaborative working relationships, assess equipment performance in the field, and identify areas for innovation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Owner or similar role in software development.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification preferred.
  • Coding, either data science or computer science roles and/or some mechanical or robotics engineering.
  • Understanding of product development life cycle.
  • Experience using Agile and Lean methodologies such as Scrum and/or Test-Driven Development.
  • Knowledge of dairy industry is a plus.
